My name is Rufus but everyone calls me Ru hints Just Ru Studio that’s one half of where the name for the studio comes from. I will not have you stick around for the other half that’s a long story. I grew up on Chicago Southside and yes I am a White Sox fan, but I like the Cubs too only when they are winning. I grew up primarily on the Southside but lived on the Northside for sometime Eastside too but I am a Southside native to the heart. The southside is where I entered the music world as a rapper and loved every minute of putting those bars together and competing with my group mates to see who had the better verse. I was in a group called 40strong with three other members look the name up I know it’s something on youtube 4 guys rapping in jerry curls what a sight to see but that’s not us…lol not that old. The group lasted all during high school and we had a chance to open up for some up-and-coming artists in the Chicago area. Boom!! life hits after high school the group breaks up due to parents saying YOU CAN’T BE A RAPPER. Parents tell me about them I’m joking we decide to go our own way I decide to go to college obtain a degree no not in music but visual communications specializing in Web Development. Did a couple of websites for some big-name companies that became boring, so I came back to my first love music about ten years ago which is how justrustudio.com was born. Plot twist I did not come back as a rapper but as an audio engineer. I know it’s something out there you can find with a just Ru on the mix go check the home page that is where you can find it.
